Western Uganda. The Buhweju district Principal Human Resource Officer,Nicholas Kananura is currently “jobless” after being interdicted from duty by the Chief Administrative Officer-CAO, Henry Ddamba.
14th April 2022 letter sighted by the CAO and received by Kananura on 19th April 2022 directed the latter to vacate office with immediate effect.
This is due to the ongoing investigations about allegations of existence of ghost employees and over payment of some staff on the district payroll, and the interdiction decision was reached on to ensure thorough investigations.
Kananura has been solely the data entrant and preliminary investigations already pin him, that he would be responsible for the anomalies.
He has been warned to keep away from the office premises unless he is called upon, but also not to leave the country without permission from the responsible officer.
The CAO added that during the time of interdiction, Kananura will be paid only half of his salary.
