
Ugandan socialite Nasser Nduhukire, a self-styled tycoon commonly known as Don Nasser and his co-accused Promise Gatete have appeared before Buganda Road Court this morning, Monday, September 23, 2024 on charges of aggravated trafficking in children for sexual exploitation.
Don Nasser and Promise Gatete are entangled in a case where they allegedly connived to transport a 16-year-old girl from Tagore apartments at Acacia Mall and holding her captive in Kito, Kira Division for three days.
- The 36-year-old Don Nasser from Sheema district, western Uganda has been implicated in different scandals related to fraud, illegal deals like gold, and other scams.
- In 2018, he bragged that he controlled police.
- In 2018, the Uganda Revenue Authority-URA impounded his expensive cars.

Both individuals have denied the charges but were remanded to Luzira prison, pending their appearance before the High Court for trial. The maximum penalty for this crime is death.
Chief Magistrate Ronald Kayiizi has ordered them to return to court on October 8, 2024, to monitor the progress of the ongoing investigation.
