The Leader of Opposition in the 11th Parliament, Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi has exposed how Speaker Anita Among’s radio station, Mama Bukedea Radio 102.1 FM in Eastern Uganda was illegally awarded a contract worth Ugx3.13 billion.

This comes at a time when Ugandans are protesting via social media, exposing mega corruption scandals under a hashtag #UgandaParliamentExhibition .
Speaker Among yesterday blocked a debate in Parliament on corruption scandals being exposed under #UgandaParliamentExhibition , claiming that she is being targeted for supporting the passage of Uganda’s new Anti-Homosexuality Act 2023 which was signed by President Museveni on 26th May 2023. “Me to answer you on hearsay? On things you have cooked on social media because I have said no to ‘bum shafting’ (#homosexuality)? I will not”.
