PASTOR JOSEPH MUGISHA ARRESTED AFTER A VIRAL VIDEO OF HIM PROMISING TO JUBILATE WHEN PRESIDENT MUSEVENI LEAVES POWER.

Opposition politicians especially from the National Unity Platform-NUP, some pastors and activists in Mbarara city western Uganda have accused security forces for intimidating them, following the arrest of a suspected NUP supporter, Pastor Joseph Mugisha.
Pastor Mugisha, who is the senior pastor and head of Mugisha Joseph ministries located at Mile 2 along Mbarara-Masaka road, has been arrested by security officers believed to be attached to Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence-CMI, following a viral social media video where he promised to drive around the city with bodyguards jubilating the day President Museveni leaves power. He also denounced what he called oppression, corruption, dictatorship and other issues in Uganda. THE VIRAL VIDEO BELOW (VIDEO COURTESY).

“Like how we look for a miracle, we need a miracle that there comes a time when we have a new president and a new government,” Mugisha while preaching in the viral video, about a month ago.

Reliable sources that preferred anonymity have disclosed that he was arrested this week, and they fear that he is being tortured in Mbuya barracks.
The Resident City Commissioner-RCC Mbarara, Lt Col James Mwesigye confirmed this arrest while attending a service at Daystar Cathedral, where some pastors further warned their colleagues to avoid unnecessary politics. By Aaron Ainomugisha.
