Poor service delivery is evident in many parts of Kanungu district,other areas across western Uganda and the country at large.
This situation has yet been exposed after Hon. Chris Baryomunsi, the ruling National Resistance Movement-NRM Vice Chairperson Western Uganda, Minister of Information, Communications Technology and National Guidance doubling as Member of Parliament-MP Kinkizi East Constituency in Kanungu district fainted on Saturday, January 7,2023 and was rushed to Kambuga Hospital in Kanungu district before he was airlifted to Mulago National Referral Hospital because there were no medical stores at Kambuga hospital.

Today, Sunday, January 8, 2023 Minister Baryomunsi released a statement confirming that he’s out of danger.
“Friends, yesterday I had a black out while in my constituency. I was moving from one church function to another. I was rushed to Kambuga Hosp and then airlifted to Mulago Hospital. Am now stable and out of danger. The medical team is carrying out further tests. No need to worry,” Minister Chris Baryomunsi wrote on twitter.
He has not yet commented on the criticism by many Ugandans following the viral reports about the poor health services in his home area.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time Minister Baryomunsi faces reality.
In August 2022, his car got stuck in the impassable roads in Kanungu district.
He was helped by poor locals to pull & push it out.
