The Parish Development Model-PDM deputy national coordinator, Jovrine Kaliisa has asked financial institutions to set up more systems for effective engagement with local communities that are the target beneficiaries of different socio-economic transformation programmes like PDM, EMYOOGA and other projects.

While representing the Local Government Minister Raphael Magyezi as the Chief Guest to launch disbursement of Parish Revolving Funds at Post Bank Ibanda branch on December 20, 2022, Kaliisa warned beneficiaries and technocrats against swindling this money. She added that ICT systems have been set up to monitor all transactions from local to national levels for better accountability.
The Post Bank Regional Head of Distribution, Martin Lukyamuzi assured the public that Post Bank is set to have over 60,000 E-wallet agents across Uganda and this will ease PDM transactions.
“Members will be able to make PDM transactions from their locations – like how Mobile Money works. This is a very big opportunity for Post Bank to continue serving Ugandans since it’s 100% owned by the Government of Uganda,” he explained. Audio below.
