Police in Kisoro district have arrested Ramadan Ndikuyeze,the district National Resistance Movement-NRM Vice Chairperson doubling as the Central division chairperson in Kisoro Municipality over defilement.
Ndikuyeze was arrested on Thursday 14th July 2022 by plain-clothes detectives while at his office and he requested to take himself to Kisoro police station where he was driven to in a pickup car Reg. No. UP 9462 belonging to the CID headquarters Kibuli in Kampala.
Ndikuyeze allegedly defiled a 16-year-old senior three student of a school located in Kisoro Municipality during the reopening of second term this year. On 17th May 2022,the school headteacher (names withheld for security reasons) approached the student’s parents inquiring about their daughter’s failure to return to school.
The victim’s father,Mugisha Goerge who’s a resident of Nyarusiza sub county says her daughter has been missing since the early days of May this year. Upon receiving information from the school administrators while he was at work in Kenya, he immediately came back to Uganda to search for her daughter.
George confirmed that the girl has been recovered and she is in safe hands of a certain organisations taking care of her medication as further investigations continue.
