FIGHTING CORRUPTION: Registration of Mbarara central market vendors starts afresh

ACCOUNTABILITY & FIGHTING CORRUPTION. Mbarara central market interim leadership has today started registering over 500 vendors afresh before they are shifted to the newly constructed market, from independence park where they occupied in July 2017.

Supervised by the Resident City Commissioner-RCC James Mwesigye, this exercise will address the anomalies that recently generated public outcry and corruption allegations.

The Local Government Minister, Raphael Magyezi has rejected the initial committee.

The principal commercial officer and his assistant have also been interdicted.
