EXCLUSIVE. The chairperson of private school directors in western Uganda, Mr. Laban Kanywa who doubles as the Director Global High School Mbarara has expressed concern over the gaps in Uganda’s education sector which he says have hindered transformative education and development in Uganda.

In this exclusive interview, Kanywa who is now over 50 years old expounds why he has released a gospel song or joined the music industry, the gaps in Uganda’s new curriculum, socioeconomic transformation, and how these bottlenecks can be addressed.

“We must think together, work on projects together, market together, benefit together, and develop together. The society should embrace this approach. That is why I don’t support the government giving cash or money directly to individuals under parish development model-PDM and other interventions. First form strong and united groups with common vision of development, supervise them and support the serious groups not individuals,” Laban Kanywa argues.
