Being the proprietor of a private security company called ECCOS Security Services Ltd, Simon Peter Kaswabuli has been responsible for security at Bugingo’s crusades across Uganda, at his property, and other assignments including engaging security agencies like the police and UPDF to ensure Pastor Bugingo’s safety and security.




INSIDE STORY. It has been a week since Pastor Aloysius Bugingo, the head of House of Prayer Ministries International and Salt Media Group survived an assassination attempt when gunmen attacked his car in Namungoona, Kampala resulting in the death of his SFC bodyguard Richard Muhumuza on Tuesday night, January 2,2024.
As events continue to unfold, Simon Peter Kaswabuli, the current Deputy Resident District Commissioner-D/RDC Mbarara district is now being investigated by the chieftaincy of military intelligence-CMI and other security agencies in relation to this attack, which has caused a wave of fear among pentecostal pastors and other high-profile people in Uganda. This incident has also sparked mixed reactions as some people called it “stage-managed” attack.
WHY IS PETER KASWABULI BEING CITED? Peter and Bugingo have been close-friends for over 13 years since the days when Bugingo was still a hawker in Kisenyi,Kampala.
Being the proprietor of a private security company called ECCOS Security Services Ltd, Kaswabuli has been responsible for security at Bugingo’s crusades across Uganda, at his property, and other assignments including engaging security agencies like the police and UPDF to ensure Bugingo’s safety and security.
Reports indicate that Kaswabuli received generous financial support from Bugingo for his role including at least Ugx15 million monthly retainer and facilitation. Bugingo has now terminated the services of this company due to undisclosed reasons.

INTERROGATION: Despite being deployed as an RDC in different locations, sources in security circles confirm that Kaswabuli largely concentrates on his personal investments. He was on January 8, 2024 interrogated by CMI as investigations continue.

Pastor Bugingo has now declared that he will be self-isolating for one week, as his heart settles.
