UNTOLD: HOW KITAGWENDA TEACHER ASSAULTED & KILLED A 12-YEAR-OLD P.6 PUPIL

Parents in Kitagwenda district western Uganda have cried for justice after a one Higinasi Noowe, who is a private teacher paid by the parents at Kanyamburara government-aided primary school in Buhanda sub county Kitagwenda district allegedly assaulted and killed a 12-year-old p.6 John Nabasa , the son of John Patrick Mucunguzi and Doreen Tumuhimbise hailing from Kyarubingo cell Bujumiro parish Buhanda sub county.









The father of the deceased says the teacher assaulted the deceased on June 24, 2023 and the victim returned home while feeling a lot of pain and blood oozing out of his male private part (pen*s).
The mother took him to a near-by clinic for treatment, but the condition deteriorated prompting them to seek further treatment the following day at Ntara health centre IV, where he was later referred to Rukunyu hospital after failing to find the blood group that matched with the deceased’s blood group. The conditions of the deceased worsened and they were again referred to Ibanda hospital for more treatment where he died from.







RISE NEWS UGANDA NETWORK COMMUNITY SOURCES say that after the death of the child, information circulated that the child had been severely beaten by the teacher.
According to some of the deceased’s classmates (identities concealed), the accused teacher beat the deceased for not looking at the blackboard as he tried to pick his pen that had fallen down. They say that the teacher beat the deceased with a short and big stick on the abdomen.




Yvone Nyamwiza, the nurse that gave the first treatment to the deceased testified that blood was oozing out of his penis before being referred to Ntara Health Centre IV for further treatment.
The postmortem report that was read by the Kitagwenda district police commander Henry Mugarura during the burial of the deceased on June 25, 2023, showed that the deceased had no internal bleeding, but had malaria and anemia that caused a heart failure leading to his death.




The deceased’s parents have since rejected the report, as they continuously cry out for justice, asking authorities and human rights organizations to intervene and have the accused teacher brought to book.
